Cargo Securing Software: MariLash – Cargo securing planning made easy

MariTerm AB has, in collaboration with Wallenius Wilhelmsen Ocean, developed a new modern version of the MariLash software. In MariLash, the user can develop cargo securing arrangements for cargo loaded onto Cargo Transport Units (CTUs) as well as CTUs to the ship’s deck.

The calculations in the application are based on the latest version of the IMO Code of Practice for Cargo Stowage and Securing (CSS Code) and the IMO/ILO/UNECE Code of Practice for Packing of Cargo Transport Units (CTU Code).

Cargo Securing Manuals (CSM)

MariTerm AB has prepared Cargo Securing Manuals for ships since 1985. In total, over 300 manuals have been developed for Ro-Ro vessels, car carriers, paper carriers, general cargo vessels, reefers, supply vessels, shuttle ferries and high speed crafts.

The Cargo Securing Manuals are highly ship specific and the document can include lashing tables for different significant wave height, GM values and operation service speeds. The Cargo Securing Manuals follow the latest applicable rules and codes.

Cargo Securing Trainings

MariTerm AB has carried out cargo securing trainings for over 40 years. Based on the knowledge gained through work with manuals, instructions and certficates, implementation of practical tests, participation in the work of developing of national as well as internationel rules, regulations and standards and research work, Mariterm has built up comprehensive training courses within the transport area and mainly in the fields of cargo securing, dangerous goods, ship stability and maritime management systems.

The cargo securing trainings differs between different personnel categories and for marine personnel we offer three different cargo securing trainings, cargo securing in containers and on flat racks, cargos securing training for port captains, masters and officers and cargo securing training for seafarers and stevedores.
